You just proved your voice is faster. Clabrate lets you use it.
This page ends the way every web tool does: you read a number and close the tab. The Clabrate Mac app turns that speaking speed into finished text — hold a key, talk, let go, and the words land wherever your cursor already is. Transcribed on your Mac by default, no cloud required.
Plenty of people will take the test, feel briefly outraged at their own fingers, and move on. Good. If you write all day, the app is the part where the speed becomes yours.

Typing test FAQ
How is the typing speed measured?
The timer starts on your first keystroke, not a countdown. WPM uses the standard five-characters-per-word convention, and only correctly typed characters count — so mashing keys won’t inflate your score. We also show “true accuracy,” which counts every keystroke you ever made, even the ones you fixed.
What’s the difference between accuracy and true accuracy?
Accuracy compares your final text to the passage, so a typo you backspaced and fixed doesn’t count against you. True accuracy counts every keystroke, corrections included. One rewards a clean result, the other is honest about the process.
Do I have to do the speaking round?
No. You’ll get your full typing score without it. The speaking round is optional, needs microphone access, and takes about thirty seconds — it’s there so you can feel how much faster your voice is.
Is my voice recording stored or uploaded?
No. If you do the speaking round, the audio is transcribed once, right here in the browser, only to count your words — then it’s discarded. The only thing that touches the network is the one-time speech-model download from a public CDN. Model download is not audio upload.
Where is my history saved?
In your browser, in local storage on this device. Your past runs, personal bests, and charts never leave it, there’s no account, and you can export or clear everything whenever you like.
Why does a dictation app run a typing test?
Because the test makes our whole point for us. Most people type well under 100 WPM and speak between 120 and 160. Once you’ve felt that gap, Clabrate is how you start writing at the faster number.
